A family of four gradually outgrew their living space. This home demanded an extreme renovation that included a whole new suite of rooms added to an empty lower level.
Kitchen
The two-tier eating areas were a special request for this kitchen. One for everyday eating and quick meals with the children and a larger family setting for other gatherings. Both areas overlook the patio and outdoor views.
The Murano glass multi-stripe drop pendants were selected for softer lighting. The walls are a faux finish color combination of gold and terracotta. A built-in banquette on the lower section of the floor is used for bags, jackets and extra seating. Forest green granite countertops enhance the soft, medium golden brown stain of the alder wood cabinetry.
Master Bathroom
A welcoming factor for this bath is the wonderful, warm and favorite colors of the client. The large walk-in custom shower with light terracotta stone tiles is highlighted by the chocolate brown and black tiles.
The multi color mottled granite countertop complements the natural stained contemporary cabinets with brushed nickel satin hardware. A tailored, black lacquered and silver leaf framed mirror is a lovely contrast against the warm wall colors. The flooring near the cabinets is a lighter color palette of the shower floor.
Powder Room
The color scheme was designed around the purchase of the gorgeous Murano glass mirror with matching sconces and pendant light. All the hand-selected pieces called for a glamorous setting. The unique faucet, a circular clear glass dish that allows water to flow freely, accentuates the blue granite countertop. The multi color shades of blue and white tiles add to the luxe look. The crowning glory is the hand painted ceiling.
