How many words do you associate with the Yuletide Season? Here is a tree that uses many words to create a specialized tree and container.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Book pages
- One skewer
- Mounting tape
- Pinking shears
- Tiny silver beads
- One larger silver bead
- Tacky glue
- Glue gun
- Flower pot
- Oasis
- Ribbon
- Aged newspaper shredded
- Mod Podge: mat
- One red rhinestone
- Needle and thread
- Red letters
HERE’S HOW
Tree Decoration:
- Cut graduated squares from large to small
- Poke hole in the middle of each square with skewer
- Push small squares towards the top and gradually work towards the bottom
- Use smaller pieces of mounting tape as spacers in between each square
- Alternate and twist squares as you work down
- Glue tiny beads to tips of squares and larger bead at the top
Flower Pot Decoration:
- Using Mod Podge glue shredded newspaper to pot
- Wrap and glue ribbon around pot
- Gather and sew flower ribbon onto flower pot
- Glue red rhinestone in middle of flower and glue to pot
- Glue letters around pot rim: Joy, Noel, Hope, Merry
