Pierre the Pop-Up Bunny (for Easter)

We know about pop-up books, but now, we have a pop-up bunny. Meet Pierre, who welcomes everyone to enjoy a Happy Easter. With his magical abilities to see far and wide, he alerts all the other bunnies to make sure no house is missed for delivery of special chocolate eggs.

MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Styrofoam egg (medium size)
  • White clay
  • Wine glass
  • Acrylic paints (colors)
  • Gingham ribbon (1 1/2”w)
  • White ribbon gathered into ruffle
  • Tiny garland of flowers, fruits, and leaves
  • Purple bow
  • Glue gun
  • Tacky white glue

HERE’S HOW

  • Cover styrofoam egg with white clay (smooth areas as needed)
  • Paint face
  • Glue:
    • gingham ribbon to cover wine bowl
    • bunny head to wine bowl
    • gathered ruffle around bottom part of head to create a collar
    • small garland under ruffle collar
    • purple bow in front, under collar
    • repeat garland on front of bowl
    • smaller ruffle to bottom of bowl
