Celebrate the winter months with a breezy blue pumpkin. This table treat is dressed up in blue cashmere, a cast-off crystal decanter stopper, a mercury glass flower, glittery artificial plant material, small cashmere flowers, and rhinestone buttons. Enjoy, -while you wait for the Spring melt!
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Old worn cashmere sweater
- Crystal/glass decanter top
- Rice
- Batting
- Glass mercury flower
- Glittery artificial plant material
- Rhinestone flower buttons
- Tiny beads for small 3 cashmere flowers
- Hot glue gun
- Heavy duty thread/needle
- Plate for template
HERE’S HOW
- Cut cashmere sweater in a circle (use plate as template)
- And 1″ wide pieces for 3 small flowers
- Gather small pieces and form a little circle, glue tiny beads in center, put aside
- Gather top edge of cashmere circle leaving an opening to fill with rice
- Fill with rice and pad the top with batting
- Finish gathering top edge around crystal decanter top, secure
- Arrange mercury glass flower in prominent spot
- Arrange artificial plant material and 3 small flowers around it
- Glue all in place
- Scatter and glue rhinestone buttons
