A beautiful hanging mirror made from geometric, molded Styrofoam (the protective covers on stereo equipment) decorated with crumpled white tissue paper, faux finished in silver and gold.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Mirror
- Geometric Styrofoam with opening for mirror
- White tissue paper
- Faux finish for tissue paper
- Ribbon for hanger
- Shells, leaves, artificial birds
- Random pearls (faux or real)
HERE’S HOW
- Glue crumpled white tissue paper to frame
- Use faux finish for tissue paper (I used gold and silver)
- Fasten mirror to back of Styrofoam with small finishing nails and hang with festive ribbon and rosette on a picture hook
- Use leaves, artificial birds, shells from beach and pearls from a broken necklace to decorate the outside opening of the mirror
