MATERIALS NEEDED
- A styrofoam piece deep enough to house a shoebox
- A shoebox
- Decorative tissue paper (mine is a square design)
- Spray paint of your choice
- Grosgrain ribbon – 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch
- Masking tape
- Tacky white glue
- Art piece or collectible of your choice (mine is a small carving)
- A piece of glass to fit over styrofoam opening
- Silicone sealant
HERE’S HOW
- Cover Styrofoam with tissue paper
- Spray interior of the shoebox color of your choice
- Using Silicone sealant, glue glass piece to interior of opening of styrofoam. Let dry.
- Glue your art object inside of shoebox using tacky glue
- Glue 1/4 inch grograin ribbon to interior lip of opening
- Glue 1/2 inch grograin to the outer edge of stryrofoam
- Secure and tape the shoebox to the interior of Styrofoam
