Bits & pieces of tulle, ribbon, rhinestones and a crepe paper hat can transform any vintage doll into a Witchy Fashionista. Use your own creativity and mix of colors and fabric to design a trendy costume for a vintage doll.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- a doll (mine was a 1950’s) crepe paper: two colors
- rhinestones
- ribbon
- tulle
- Halloween paper
- festooning
- glue gun
HERE’S HOW
Dress:
- Gather crepe paper to create a long skirt
- Gather two colors of crepe paper to form flowers, different sizes and glue to skirt
- Glue rhinestone in the middle of flower
- Glue skirt to doll’s waist
Top:
- Measure ribbon: glue a piece around waist to finish top of skirt
- Wrap a piece of ribbon around upper part of doll and glue
- Glue rhinestone where the two ribbons intersect
- Wrap tulle around shoulders to form a shawl
Hat:
- Using Halloween paper, form a cone, glue to a gathered piece of crepe paper
- Wrap and glue festooning around base of cone
